March 2026 in Astrology

March shows a chance in pace for the year, as we walk away from some of the trends present since December. Still, a calm isn’t exactly achieved, at least not immediately. We start the month between Eclipses, and the weeks around Eclipses are always hectic and eventful. We also have Mercury retrograde up until the 20th.

Starting with the change in pace, since December we’ve had planets clustered in individual signs. Sun, Venus, Mercury and Mars were transiting the same signs simultaneously, starting with Sagittarius, then Capricorn and now Aquarius. These clusters showed a concentration of energy, maybe even an obsession, into each of the transited signs.

Judging from birth charts with this type of pattern, I find that there is a strong sense of destiny in life. Those people’s lives tend to have clear patterns and themes, without much variety. Taking this to the mundane, we can see the same themes repeating, as well as a strong sense of destiny in the world. We were, in a way, laser focused in these previous months.

The pattern is interesting as well. Why these three signs? What do they represent?

Sagittarius is the endless enthusiasm, excitement and need to discover and expand. Capricorn is the endless pessimism, business and usual and the work-horse that tries to make the best of everything, by seeing the worst and adapting to it. Aquarius is the radical, the rebel, the inventor; it sees the reality, much like Capricorn, but the impulse here is to adapt/change the world instead of adapting yourself around it.

Aquarius as the grand-finale of this trend, with a Solar Eclipse to boot, is very interesting. It shows a strong imprint of this sense of rebellion, of a desire to change and mold the things around us.

But going back to the change in pace, this chain of concentration, going on since December, will be broken around March 14th. The Sun will enter Pisces, and the fairly synchronous rhythm of the previously mentioned planets will be broken. Mercury and Mars will remain in Aquarius. Venus will move into Aries way before any other planet can enter Pisces. The chain will be broken, Pisces will not have the same concentration as the previous signs had.

On a practical sense, this shows more variety. Ever since December, we were concentrated on a few things. This month we will start having more variety, more spread and more themes.

Another change in pace comes from Jupiter. Retrograde since November, it will turn direct on the 10th, just a few days before the end of our clusters. Jupiter retrograde favors negativity, and it usually shows a time where economic downturns are possible. With Jupiter direct, toxic positivity returns to the world. As such, we can expect some speculative improvements, with markets and lines going up. As well as a general bigger sense of hope in the world.

We also have the Astrological New Year around the 18th (more on that later). The main point is that, around mid to late March, we enter a new alignment in the skies. Changing the pace from early 2026. And that will bring new themes, new ideas, new problems and situations in the world.

Taking a step back, going back to February, we had the Solar Eclipse in Aquarius on the 17th. On March 1st, Mars will transit the exact degrees of that Eclipse, activating those energies and possibly bringing strong events with this. The recent fiery conflict in Iran seems to be the main exponent of this trend.

That Solar Eclipse was conjunct the natal Moon of the US birth chart, so we will see many changes and events related to the US in the coming months. Again, check my predictions for that Eclipse for more details.

Along with the bang, we have a Lunar Eclipse on the 3rd in Purva Phalguni. This Lunar Eclipse, deals with issues related with Leo characters. Meaning, celebrities, leaders and those in power. Issues from the past can come up, as well as scandals, relating to those groups. The recent Paramount acquisition of Warner also strikes me as an interesting point, very related to Leo.

Around the 10th-15th, we could have some eventful days, as Jupiter will turn direct, the Sun will move into Pisces and Rahu will be conjunct Mars. Hectic events, twists and turns will be possible around then.

Up until the 20th, we will be under the umbrella of Mercury retrograde, so the usual precautions are advised:

Mercury is the planet of communications, so everything related to communications could be slowed down. Computer problems, miscommunications, delays in deliveries and other kinds of issues become possible. Avoid mistakes by double checking and confirming things, and try to be patient when problems arise.

On the 18th, we will have a New Moon which also signals the Astrological New Year for 2026-2027. The astro new year chart is an interesting one to watch, although certainly not the only factor to read and understand the coming year.

The Sun and Moon will be at 4° Pisces, very close to Neptune at 7° and Saturn at 9° Pisces. So the year ahead will deal a lot with the Saturn-Neptune conjunction. The year ahead can deal a lot with issues of the past, nostalgia and melancholia. But with a twist.

We see the past with a lens of change now, we are learning from our mistakes. An exact Uranus sextile to the New Moon signals this. We have the opportunity to change things, shake things up and create a brighter future from the shadow of our past mistakes.

Summary

Mundane

The month starts tense, as Mars will trigger the February Solar Eclipse, promoting turmoil and violent incursions. Similarly, as we head towards a Lunar Eclipse on the 3rd, we can be uncertain or unstable. On that note, military conflicts will tend to continue for much of early March. This first week of March can be very odd, specially around the 3rd.

Later on, around the 10th, we have some good news as Jupiter turns direct. This can show upturns in markets and the economy. As well as bigger sense of hope and certainty.

Around the 13th, Mars conjunct Rahu can promote more hectic and turbulent events, even violence.

Mercury retrograde, in the background, signals that a lot happening this month will repeat in some form. This could mean deals and discussions being walked back, or redone. Or the same themes repeating over and over again.

Mercury direct, on the 20th, signals that late March and April will deal with bigger changes and new events. For now, we might see sameness and repetition.

Personal

On a personal level, March goes along with the Pisces mood, a mixture of hope and melancholia. We could be thinking a lot about the past, and what we could’ve done better, this month. Most of the month is sandwiched with Mercury retrograde, so looking into the past is not a bad idea now.

Still, this is a moment of breakthroughs and awareness. We see problems, but we also see solutions. It is a month of balance, review and reflection.

Late March and April will be better moments to take action and move forward.

February 2026 in Astrology

Not that 2026 has been calm, but February will speed things up. The month will start with an intense Uranus influence, that promotes disruption and surprises. And it will end amongst a Solar Eclipse and Mercury turning retrograde.

Let’s take a step back and look at some of the events of January.

  • Nicolas Maduro arrest
  • Yet again, tension in Iran
  • Forest fires in Argentina and Chile

On my January predictions, I highlighted the possibility of fires, hailing from both the Mars-Sun conjunction early last month and the Mars-Uranus trine in late January. I also said that these aspects could deal with tensions, protests and clashes; which can be exemplified by Iran, as well as some of the protests happening in the US. On Maduro, I had specifically noted Jan 3rd as an eventful date.

Besides a humble-brag, I find this recap important, as some of these themes and places mentioned will tend to recur, specially now in February.

Going into February, we start with Uranus stationary. The planet will turn direct on the 3rd, so there is a slow down from about Jan 31st up until Feb 6th. During this period, Uranus will be more intense and prominent. So it can be a time of surprises, rebellion, big changes, or events related to electricity.

Also very early, we have a Full Moon in Ashlesha, itself a nakshatra that deals a lot with betrayal and conflict, but with an opposition to Mars, this Full Moon gets a strong theme of conflict. We start February with high emotions, people can be feisty and prone towards lashing out. Underhanded actions, or schemes, are also a strong theme under this influence.

Putting two and two together, the first week of February can be a shocking and emotional time. Sudden events could rile up people and create great conflict.

As I’ve mentioned last month, we are having big clusters of planets all in one sign. The year started with this in Sagittarius, we end January with a cluster in Capricorn, and February will have it in Aquarius.

Starting on the 12th, we will have Sun, Venus, Rahu and Mercury all in Aquarius. This strong Aquarius impulse will favor technology, innovation and discovery. But it will also favor radicalism, intense ideas and political conflict. I expect the political tensions of January to continue, and intensify in February.

Mars will be the final planet to make the switch into Aquarius, on the 23rd, leaving us with five Aquarius planets in late February. Up until March 1st, when Venus will enter Pisces. Still, four planets in the same sign is nothing to shrug off. We will have the four amigos up until March 14th, when the Sun will enter Pisces.

So tallying it up, we will have a strong Aquarius energy from about February 12th up until March 14th. Again, this can be a time dealing a lot with politics, technology, radicalism and extremes around the world.

Also notable in February is that we have the exact Saturn-Neptune conjunction happening on the 20th. I’ve been discussing this aspect since 2024, as it pertains to a time of cultural change in the world. With the exact aspect this month, things will certainly feel heavier, and we might feel stronger changes happening.

The star of the show this month, however, is a Solar Eclipse on the 17th. The Eclipse will happen in Dhanishtha nakshatra, a star symbolized by a drum. It is usually related to wealth and success. It shows the hollowness of life, that can be transformed through our touch and involvement. It deals with creating, making and finding meaning in life.

The Solar Eclipse will happen with a powerful square to Uranus, which intensifies the Aquarius energy of change and transformation. This Eclipse can deal a lot with great revelations and changes, in regards to politics and technology.

The Eclipse will be visible around the South of South America (read that three times, fast), so again the themes and issues around Argentina and Chile can be highlighted. As Eclipses are long spanning, those two countries could be dealing with change and conflict in the coming months, maybe for most of the first half of 2026.

The Eclipse will also be visible around South Africa, so events and changes there could also be prominent.

After the Eclipse, late in the month, we have Mercury retrograde on the 26th, it begets the usual precautions and my favorite gif:

Mercury is the planet of communications, so everything related to communications could be slowed down. Computer problems, miscommunications, delays in deliveries and other kinds of issues become possible. Avoid mistakes by double checking and confirming things, and try to be patient when problems arise.

On the 27th, Mars will form an exact square to Uranus. Mars-Uranus hard aspects are always tense, but with this happening in the tail of Mercury retro and between Eclipses, things can be specially feisty. February can end on a shocking note; with conflicts, fiery events and clashes around the world.

Going a little further, March 1st will have Mars transiting the exact degree of the Solar Eclipse, reactivating those energies and possibly triggering more events.

Also notable is that we will have a Lunar Eclipse on March 3rd, I will write more about it later. But it is important to note that the weeks around Eclipses are always hectic, possibly eventful times. The Charlie Kirk assassination happened shortly after a Lunar Eclipse last year, for instance. With that in mind, I highlight the second half of February, from the 17th and onwards, as a time to be carefully observed.

Summary

Mundane

February keeps the feisty rhythm of January. The second half of the month can be specially eventful, with the cluster of planets in Aquarius and the Solar Eclipse. Still, the first half doesn’t fall that much behind, as we can start with feisty conflicts and surprises.

The month can deal a lot with technology, electricity, fires, storms and intense weather.

We will also deal a lot with radical politics and conflict regarding that.

Issues in South America, specially Chile and Argentina, could be prominent; specially in late February.

Personal

We start February with the cluster of planets in Capricorn that I mentioned last month. This favors organizing, making plans and decisions.

But February is truly about two things, on a personal level: the Aquarius cluster and Saturn-Neptune.

The Aquarius cluster is a great time to break personal taboos. Try new things, experiment, find the courage to discover something new that you’ve always wanted, etc.

It is also a great time to truly understand our ideas, and understand what is truly important in life. What do we really think, what do we really want to do, what should we really focus on; are some of the questions that can arise here.

With Saturn-Neptune, the aspect is really intense the months ahead, specially in February. This aspect deals with making dreams reality, or with dealing with harsh truths, and reducing our illusions about life and the world.

On that note, this month can be a time of wake-up calls in our lives. We can be forced to face issues head on, instead of lying to ourselves or distracting ourselves away from them.

In a way, this month is about acknowledging reality, seeing things for what they are, understanding our problems and limitations. But also using this newfound reality to create, improve and achieve.

Late February, with Mercury retro, might not be the best moment for travel. The early parts of the month are mostly ok, although some surprises could arise. Keep plans flexible.

A final note deals with the Solar Eclipse. People with planets around 4° in the fixed signs (Aquarius, Leo, Taurus and Scorpio) can feel this Eclipse more strongly. Maybe some surprises or big life changes can happen now.

From my Eclipses Guide (a recommended reading), I usually say that these personal effects are only notable when conjunct or opposing the Eclipse, which would be Aquarius and Leo.

But the true strong, life changing, effects of Eclipses only come when a personal point in our charts is touched by one. That is, when a planet is within 5° conjunct or opposing an Eclipse.

How Will The Eclipse Affect Me?

However, with the Uranus aspect in this Eclipse, I see an exception and I believe that Taurus and Scorpio could also be affected this time. So do check if your chart has a planet in these degrees of these signs!
