February opens up with Jupiter turning direct. Jupiter retrograde tends to create pessimism and lack of hope, so this shift turns the moods around. People will feel luckier, more trustful and with an improved outlook. This will tend to improve economies around the world, giving a better (even if fake) perception of things.
Early February will also have a strong mark of Uranus, that just turned direct on the 30th of January. This could indicate sudden events, surprises and great turns in global affairs
The big news of February, however, is Rahu conjunct Neptune. I mentioned this aspect last month, and I explained that this is a time of illusions, deceptions and blurred vision. This aspect is in effect from December until around April, but with the exact conjunction now, February will be the height of illusions. Many misconceptions and false hopes will be prominent now.

Later in the month, Mars will turn direct after being retrograde since December. Mars direct will be a double-edged sword. On one hand, it will improve our moods. We will feel more disposed and capable of accomplishing things, as Mars retrograde tends to make us more lethargic. Mars direct will allow us to push ahead, move and shake the world around us.
On the other hand, Mars turning direct after the retrograde cycle is always chaotic. I compare Mars retro to a shaken soda bottle, with the mess of opening it being Mars turning direct. All the built up tension, anger, resentment or regret since December last year will come out in late February. So this could be a time of violent events, protests or public clashes.
The Full Moon this month happens in Ashlesha nakshatra, which is already a chaotic star, with negative connotations. But at the very edge of Cancer, this is a complicated zone, indicating turmoil and trouble. Along for the ride, Uranus will square the Sun and the Moon. With that in mind, this Full Moon could show sudden developments creating chaos. Events that cause anger and revolt are a great possibility around this time.
The New Moon this month happens on Shatabishak nakshatra, that star is related to hermits, healers, inventors and technology. The New Moon could deal with news about health or technology becoming public.

February remains under the umbrella of Rahu-Neptune, an aspect that shows illusions and misconceptions dominating public opinion. This influence is with us for a big chunk of the early months of 2025, it gives great uncertainty and instability, as we all seem to have a blurred vision now.
So we should keep the idea of “illusions” in mind when analyzing the other astrological events of the month.
Starting from the start, Jupiter direct could show some improvement in economies around the world. This could deal with false hopes and speculative highs, instead of actual tangible improvement. Misguided positivity that can be well used, by wise investors, but that should be carefully watched.
The Full Moon can deal with troubling news coming into play, and creating chaos and desperation. It could deal with a medical issue, or some new disease, considering both lunations this month. I don’t believe it will be that hard or serious, but the reporting will tend to rile people up, if only temporarily.
Late in the month comes the most troubling event, which will be Mars direct. All the pent up energy, since Mars went retrograde in early December, will be released when Mars turns direct. So the month could end with violence, great protests and public clashes.
Overall, the trend of illusions will come strongly into play in February, for good an bad. For some, the rose-colored glasses will make them ignore any and all trouble. For others, an exaggerated view will turn a broken fingernail into a major catastrophe. These two extremes will reflect a lot in the economy, as well as on political discourse around the world.
Personal
On a personal level, February has great news. Jupiter and Mars turning direct are great points.
Jupiter, being the planet of hope and growth, gives us an easier time direct. So more opportunities and a better sense of confidence will help us achieve our projects.
Mars retrograde is not the time to start projects, as that is the break for the red planet of action. A time to stop and rethink things, rethink your efforts, reconsider how much energy you spend on things. Mars direct signals a time to start new projects, move on and act.
Both of these points are great for making change and having a fresh start, specially for those that felt stuck this new year.
