February 2026 in Astrology

Not that 2026 has been calm, but February will speed things up. The month will start with an intense Uranus influence, that promotes disruption and surprises. And it will end amongst a Solar Eclipse and Mercury turning retrograde.

Let’s take a step back and look at some of the events of January.

  • Nicolas Maduro arrest
  • Yet again, tension in Iran
  • Forest fires in Argentina and Chile

On my January predictions, I highlighted the possibility of fires, hailing from both the Mars-Sun conjunction early last month and the Mars-Uranus trine in late January. I also said that these aspects could deal with tensions, protests and clashes; which can be exemplified by Iran, as well as some of the protests happening in the US. On Maduro, I had specifically noted Jan 3rd as an eventful date.

Besides a humble-brag, I find this recap important, as some of these themes and places mentioned will tend to recur, specially now in February.

Going into February, we start with Uranus stationary. The planet will turn direct on the 3rd, so there is a slow down from about Jan 31st up until Feb 6th. During this period, Uranus will be more intense and prominent. So it can be a time of surprises, rebellion, big changes, or events related to electricity.

Also very early, we have a Full Moon in Ashlesha, itself a nakshatra that deals a lot with betrayal and conflict, but with an opposition to Mars, this Full Moon gets a strong theme of conflict. We start February with high emotions, people can be feisty and prone towards lashing out. Underhanded actions, or schemes, are also a strong theme under this influence.

Putting two and two together, the first week of February can be a shocking and emotional time. Sudden events could rile up people and create great conflict.

As I’ve mentioned last month, we are having big clusters of planets all in one sign. The year started with this in Sagittarius, we end January with a cluster in Capricorn, and February will have it in Aquarius.

Starting on the 12th, we will have Sun, Venus, Rahu and Mercury all in Aquarius. This strong Aquarius impulse will favor technology, innovation and discovery. But it will also favor radicalism, intense ideas and political conflict. I expect the political tensions of January to continue, and intensify in February.

Mars will be the final planet to make the switch into Aquarius, on the 23rd, leaving us with five Aquarius planets in late February. Up until March 1st, when Venus will enter Pisces. Still, four planets in the same sign is nothing to shrug off. We will have the four amigos up until March 14th, when the Sun will enter Pisces.

So tallying it up, we will have a strong Aquarius energy from about February 12th up until March 14th. Again, this can be a time dealing a lot with politics, technology, radicalism and extremes around the world.

Also notable in February is that we have the exact Saturn-Neptune conjunction happening on the 20th. I’ve been discussing this aspect since 2024, as it pertains to a time of cultural change in the world. With the exact aspect this month, things will certainly feel heavier, and we might feel stronger changes happening.

The star of the show this month, however, is a Solar Eclipse on the 17th. The Eclipse will happen in Dhanishtha nakshatra, a star symbolized by a drum. It is usually related to wealth and success. It shows the hollowness of life, that can be transformed through our touch and involvement. It deals with creating, making and finding meaning in life.

The Solar Eclipse will happen with a powerful square to Uranus, which intensifies the Aquarius energy of change and transformation. This Eclipse can deal a lot with great revelations and changes, in regards to politics and technology.

The Eclipse will be visible around the South of South America (read that three times, fast), so again the themes and issues around Argentina and Chile can be highlighted. As Eclipses are long spanning, those two countries could be dealing with change and conflict in the coming months, maybe for most of the first half of 2026.

The Eclipse will also be visible around South Africa, so events and changes there could also be prominent.

After the Eclipse, late in the month, we have Mercury retrograde on the 26th, it begets the usual precautions and my favorite gif:

Mercury is the planet of communications, so everything related to communications could be slowed down. Computer problems, miscommunications, delays in deliveries and other kinds of issues become possible. Avoid mistakes by double checking and confirming things, and try to be patient when problems arise.

On the 27th, Mars will form an exact square to Uranus. Mars-Uranus hard aspects are always tense, but with this happening in the tail of Mercury retro and between Eclipses, things can be specially feisty. February can end on a shocking note; with conflicts, fiery events and clashes around the world.

Going a little further, March 1st will have Mars transiting the exact degree of the Solar Eclipse, reactivating those energies and possibly triggering more events.

Also notable is that we will have a Lunar Eclipse on March 3rd, I will write more about it later. But it is important to note that the weeks around Eclipses are always hectic, possibly eventful times. The Charlie Kirk assassination happened shortly after a Lunar Eclipse last year, for instance. With that in mind, I highlight the second half of February, from the 17th and onwards, as a time to be carefully observed.

Summary

Mundane

February keeps the feisty rhythm of January. The second half of the month can be specially eventful, with the cluster of planets in Aquarius and the Solar Eclipse. Still, the first half doesn’t fall that much behind, as we can start with feisty conflicts and surprises.

The month can deal a lot with technology, electricity, fires, storms and intense weather.

We will also deal a lot with radical politics and conflict regarding that.

Issues in South America, specially Chile and Argentina, could be prominent; specially in late February.

Notable dates in February:

  • 3rd
  • 12th
  • 17th
  • 20th
  • 26th-27th
  • 28th

Personal

We start February with the cluster of planets in Capricorn that I mentioned last month. This favors organizing, making plans and decisions.

But February is truly about two things, on a personal level: the Aquarius cluster and Saturn-Neptune.

The Aquarius cluster is a great time to break personal taboos. Try new things, experiment, find the courage to discover something new that you’ve always wanted, etc.

It is also a great time to truly understand our ideas, and understand what is truly important in life. What do we really think, what do we really want to do, what should we really focus on; are some of the questions that can arise here.

With Saturn-Neptune, the aspect is really intense the months ahead, specially in February. This aspect deals with making dreams reality, or with dealing with harsh truths, and reducing our illusions about life and the world.

On that note, this month can be a time of wake-up calls in our lives. We can be forced to face issues head on, instead of lying to ourselves or distracting ourselves away from them.

In a way, this month is about acknowledging reality, seeing things for what they are, understanding our problems and limitations. But also using this newfound reality to create, improve and achieve.

Late February, with Mercury retro, might not be the best moment for travel. The early parts of the month are mostly ok, although some surprises could arise. Keep plans flexible.

A final note deals with the Solar Eclipse. People with planets around 4° in the fixed signs (Aquarius, Leo, Taurus and Scorpio) can feel this Eclipse more strongly. Maybe some surprises or big life changes can happen now.

From my Eclipses Guide (a recommended reading), I usually say that these personal effects are only notable when conjunct or opposing the Eclipse, which would be Aquarius and Leo.

But the true strong, life changing, effects of Eclipses only come when a personal point in our charts is touched by one. That is, when a planet is within 5° conjunct or opposing an Eclipse.

How Will The Eclipse Affect Me?

However, with the Uranus aspect in this Eclipse, I see an exception and I believe that Taurus and Scorpio could also be affected this time. So do check if your chart has a planet in these degrees of these signs!

December 2025 in Astrology

Can’t believe it’s December! Can’t believe that 2025 is almost over! Time is more than a little relative but, for me, 2025 went as fast as lightning. It seems like January was yesterday, yet so much has happened. Astrologically, December will end the year in a mixture of fast and slow.

Saturn has just turned direct, on the 27th last month, and it is gaining back speed as we speak. The week (or weeks) around Saturn turning retrograde/direct always feel a bit slower, as Saturn tends to create slow downs. In our case, these first days of December will be like this.

Things will improve around the 5th, after the Full Moon, and after Jupiter retrogrades back into Gemini. The 5th itself can be an interesting, maybe eventful date, as the Sun will be exactly aligned with the Lunar Nodes. This can deal with destiny, fate and strong events.

The Full Moon this month happens in Rohini nakshatra. A star that relates strongly with luxury, wealth and a powerful sense of lust. Horniness, to reiterate. On the negative, this nakshatra can deal with sex scandals or sexual misbehavior of all sorts.

The nodal alignment, mentioned above, combined with Venus opposing the Full Moon makes me think that something sexual or deviant could be revealed/exposed around this Full Moon.

Events in December 2025

  • 05/12/2025 06:55 Jupiter in Gemini

  • 10/12/2025 08:49 Neptune direct 05°09’06” Pisces
    • 04/07/2025 15:49 Neptune retrograde 07°57’40” Pisces
  • 14/12/2025 06:44 Mars Square Neptune 05°09’22” Sagittarius 05°09’22” Pisces
  • 15/12/2025 17:50 Sun in Sagittarius
  • 16/12/2025 23:34 Sun Square Saturn 01°15’37” Sagittarius 01°15’37” Pisces
  • 19/12/2025 20:43 New Moon in Mula 04°11’40” Sagittarius
  • 19/12/2025 21:16 Venus in Sagittarius
  • 20/12/2025 20:02 Sun Square Neptune 05°11’01” Sagittarius 05°11’01” Pisces
  • 28/12/2025 20:54 Mercury in Sagittarius

Moving on from the Full Moon, Mars will enter Sagittarius on the 7th. The transition from a Water sign to a Fire sign is always complicated, specially for Mars. So the 6th and 7th could deal with conflict, turbulence and complications. This end of Mars in Scorpio could have a nasty sting.

Still, we move on. Sagittarius from Scorpio is an interesting transition. Scorpio is all about the hidden, the occult, and making things a secret. Sagittarius is the opposite, dealing with exposing, flashing, showing and making it clear.

As Mars rules our actions and how we solve conflict, from December 7th until January 15th we will tend to be more direct and expressive. So the tendency now is making things clear, being sincere or putting the cards on the table. On a mundane level, this will deal a lot with tensions becoming actual fights, cold situations becoming hot, etc.

On December 10th, Neptune will turn direct, after being retrograde since July. Neptune is the planet of illusions, hopes, dreams and deception. The retrograde motion pushes back the illusions. On one hand, this makes things clearer, and it is easier to get the truth. On the other hand, dreams are simply illusions that we tell ourselves. It is harder to dream (or delude ourselves) with Neptune retrograde, and life seems a bit duller.

With Neptune direct, our hopes and dreams are livelier than ever, just in time for New Year’s Eve. On a personal level, this is good news, as it can help some of us get out of a funk or bad mood. On a mundane level, easier illusions means more lies, so expect that.

On December 15th, the Sun will enter Sagittarius, reiterating the mood explained above about Mars. Similarly, Venus and Mercury will follow along later on, with the 4 planets all in Sagittarius from December 29th until January 12th.

The New Moon this month happens in Mula nakshatra, which is a strong and powerful star, dealing a lot with destruction and rebirth. It also deals with finding the root of the problem. This New Moon will square Neptune, so the month ahead (early 2026, for that matter) will deal a lot with this conflict between dream and reality. This will deal with compromise, adjustment and maybe some revelations. The themes of the New Moon will tend to predominate the final days of the month/year.

Summary

Mundane

December can start slow. In the first week, we have the leftover slowdowns of Saturn turning direct. Things will tend to pick-up speed as the month goes along.

The 4th and 5th, around the Full Moon, can be eventful days. Many alignments will happen around this date. Some type of sex scandal, or issues with sex abuse, could be unveiled around this time.

The 6th and the 7th can be turbulent days, with Gandanta Mars between Scorpio and Sagittarius.

From the 7th onwards, we start having planets entering Sagittarius, a sign know for being truthful and direct. So December, specially after the 15th, deals a lot with demonstrating the truth. Being upfront regardless of the conflict this might cause. As such, December can deal with revelations and conflict.

The New Moon, on the 19th, will deal a lot with the clash between reality and our dreams. This can deal with the need for compromise in deals, or with leaders losing face in some way.

Personal

On a personal level, early December can have us in somewhat of a funk. The Saturn energy is strong, as a leftover from November, and we can be moody and negative now. Things will improve as the days go, specially around the 8th.

Neptune direct, combined with many planets in Sagittarius, will have us in a more positive mood. We will dream more, feel more imaginative, inspired and open. The Sagittarius portion will make us more brave and willing to take challenges.

In fact, Sagittarius will be a strong influence in late 2025 and early 2026, as we will have 4 planets in the sign between December 29th and January 12th. We will tend to feel stronger, corageous and decisive. This is a great moment to take action and make the change we want to see.

Holidays and Parties

I always like to plot the charts for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, to see how the mood will be and if it is a good day for parties.

Christmas Eve (24th) will have the Moon in Aquarius, mostly in Dhanishtha and later on in Shatabishak. The first one is a fairly good star for parties and socialization, the second one, not so much. Still, a jolly aspect from Venus will improve the moods and favor anything musical and entertaining. A square to Uranus can show some sudden mood changes, or changes in plan. Technical problems are also possible, like the internet going down temporarily, or maybe some miscommunication.

New Year’s will have a Rohini Moon. Taurus is the strongest sign for the Moon, so this gives us a great start to 2026, in general. The Moon will form, in the early hours of Jan 1st, an alignment to the Lunar Nodes. This shows a time of karmic events, fate and destiny. So chance meetings are possible that day.

Nothing is ever perfect. Some disagreements are possible that night, as the Moon will form a quincunx to Venus. Still, New Year’s will tend to be an excellent and fun day. Unless you’re reading this in Australia, cause then my calculations are all off for you.

Housekeeping and 2026

I’m kinda late with this month’s predictions, as I’m working on my 2026 Predictions. I wish I was already done with them, but I had some delays. I blame Mercury Retrograde, I blame the world and I blame my coffee maker. It happens.

Anyway, I will publish my 2026 Predictions on the 12th of December, so check back around then.
