November can be an odd tangent this year, as a lot is changing and in flux around this month. In astrology, we always look for confluence. And seeing so many interesting planetary tidbits, a warning lights up. We start from very late October, the 31st, when Jupiter entered Leo. This shows a change in luck in the world, as Leo matters and people will be favored in this cycle.

Speaking of tangents and being in flux, so is Jupiter. The planet will be in Leo between October 31st and January 24th next year. It will go retrograde on December 12th, moving back into Cancer in January.

Speaking of retrogrades, we start November with both Venus and Mercury retrograde. Their direct movement, both on November 13th, will signal a change in mood. New information coming out, new agreements and a fresh vision can change our perspective around that date.

Also this November, we will have an exact Uranus trine to Pluto. This is a major aspect of 2026, that has been a part of the year, and will be with us between 2026 and 2028. This aspect promises change, specially chaotic or erratic one, in the coming years. The exact aspect, this month, signals a key moment. It could be a time where some of these issues become clear, or we have a clear example of said chaotic energies.

Finally, going a bit ahead on this longer than usual intro, we have to talk about Rahu and Ketu. They will switch signs on December 5th this year, entering Capricorn and Cancer until June 2028.

Rahu shows our obsessions, and Ketu shows the opposite, demonstrating something that we are dettaching from or abandoning in some way.

Aquarius favors technology, politics, ideas and rebelion. Capricorn favors money, stability, practicality and establishment institutions. Clearly, there is a change in mood ahead, that will be clearer in 2027.

But what about November? I see a lot of regret ahead this next month. Astrology generally has a dislike for junctures, the in-betweens, when it comes to birth chart analysis. Things like 29 or 0 degrees of a sign, where you could be one or the other.

It’s not the end of the world, if you have this in your chart, but it shows a point of contention. Things are changing, there is no stability and strange developments are almost guaranteed.

I see November as one big juncture. Jupiter and Mars are both changing signs, from their October placements. There is a lot changing. Similarly, we will see many changes in the world.

Mars in Leo, on the 12th, will be a positive change. As we move on from the more erratic, at times childish, energies of Mars in Cancer; things will tend to get calmer. I must warn though that we are not out of the woods with Mars in Cancer yet. Mars retrograde next year (between January and April) will have Mars back in Cancer, from March 9th to April 26th. Still, we have a nice break, with Mars in Leo up until next March. We should make the best of this break.

The New Moon, in Vishakha, on the 9th will be an interesting turning point. Expect announcements and declarations related to forceful actions. People will try to push their way. The still active Mars in Cancer will favor vengeful behavior.

The Full Moon, in Krittika, on the 24th can be even more interesting. It will be conjunct Uranus, which shows sudden changes and rebellion. So that Full Moon could trigger odd changes and feisty events in the world.

Summary

Mundane

November and December are transitional months, more than usual, as many of the alingments in the skies are changing from their October (and 2026) placements.

The bigger change will be Rahu/Ketu, on December 5th, that one can trigger a huge change in mood in the world. A more sober and restrictive tone can come out of it.

A smaller, still important change, will be Jupiter temporarily entering Leo. From Oct 31st up until Jan 24th next year. This is a change in fortune and luck, even if temporary. It will compound with Ketu leaving Leo too. So upturns related to Leo are possible.

For technology, we can see an interesting change in December, some downturns are possible.

November also has Mercury and Venus turning direct, after being retrograde last month. This can show shifting moods, as well as regrets.

Personal

On a personal level, these transitional moments are hard and interesting. They are hard because we feel pressured to change or make big decisions. At the same time, the uncertainty makes it harder to decide. And that’s what makes it interesting.

We have to find a way to change, take action, without over-committing and possibly getting stuck on the wrong horse. It isn’t easy. I wish I could say it was, but it isn’t.

My advice is to take small steps. Commit to improving a skill, rather than starting a huge project.
